HOW KIDSTOCK WORKS
Kidstock™ accepts children's clothes, toys, shoes, accessories, books, blankets, and media in new to gently used condition. Items must be clean and ready to sell. As space in our store is extremely limited, we are very select in what we accept.
All items must be delivered in either a bag or a box with your name and phone number clearly marked. It takes approximately two weeks or less for your items to be processed. Items that Kidstock™ chooses to keep will be priced by Kidstock and placed in our store. You will receive store credit equal to 30% of the in-store sales price. At this time we do not have a cash or consignment program.
You do not have to wait for your items to sell to receive your store credit. Once Kidstock processes your items, your store credit is available for you to use.
Clothing or items that Kidstock does not accept will be placed back in your bag, ready for you to pick up. We generally call customers that have bags to pick up and we respectfully request that you pick your bag/box up as soon as possible as our storage space is extremely limited. Your returned items, if not retrieved by you in a timely fashion, will be donated. Additionally, if you want rejected items to go to donation after we process it instead of being returned to you, you may choose that option on your intake form. At this time, donations go to a local church that ships/trucks the donations to Mexico and South America. Donated books will be provided to a local area school library or given to Children’s Book World, our neighbor on Pico, for free distribution to classroom teachers.
Please note that Kidstock™ does not itemize what we choose to keep or donate. You will only get a total amount of store credit, and we do not provide donor credit.
Baby gear is accepted on an item-by-item basis. We simply don’t have room to display as many carriages, strollers, slings, high chairs, Pack ‘N Plays, bouncers, etc., as we would like. If you have baby gear, please call us before you bring it in to see if we can accept it. When you call, please be ready to provide the brand and model number so we can make sure it hasn’t been recalled. Additionally, we can't accept baby gear unless it is clean. Used, scuffed, or slightly faded is okay; sticky applesauce stains are not! Bedding, breast pumps, and potties are not accepted unless it is new and in the original packaging.
With gear we can’t accept, we will informally try to match up sellers and buyers, if possible. If you have a large item that you wish to sell or buy and we don’t have room for it, please let us know so we can enter it in our store log book. If we get a match, we will let both parties know.
Drop offs are welcome at any time in the store during our regular business hours. However, if you want to be present when we process your bag, an appointment is necessary as we are not always available to do instant intake. Please email us at info@kidstockla.com to make arrangements for an appointment if that is your preferred method of drop off.
Want to drop off items for resale? Here's some tips:
1. Come shop at Kidstock first. Make sure you would use your store credit on items we have in stock.
2. Still not sure? Instead of dropping off a large bag, select 10 items and drop off a starter bag. See how you like the process and if it's something that works for you.
REMINDER
- Please note that Kidstock does not accept clothing drop offs during July and August.
- We use this time to better organize our existing inventory. The only exceptions to this are boys sizes 3, 4 and 5, girls size 3, small furniture, and toys.
