FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. How do you decide what clothing or toys/items to take?We take clothing that is in good condition with no stains or rips. Our preferences run to outfits, designer or boutique labels, and interesting, funky choices. We also have a lot of Gap, Gymboree, and other national brands in our store. However, we have very limited rack and storage space, so we do have to be judicious in what we choose to take. With toys, we check to make sure that all the components are present, we count puzzle pieces, and we generally make sure that everything is in good working order before we accept them. We also take small furniture like exersaucers, bookcases, and high chairs. These items need to be clean and working. On a high chair, for example, fading is fine, but sticky applesauce stains are not. Please make sure your item is clean before you bring it in.
Q. Will you provide a gift certificate for my school fundraiser?Yes! Kidstock™ is committed to supporting our local community. If you need a gift certificate for your school or organization’s raffle or fundraiser, please ask us. If possible, ask us well in advance of your event so we can put you in our schedule. Please provide us with a request letter and a 501(c)(3) certificate for our files.
Q. What do you accept for payment?We accept Visa, Mastercard, debit cards, and cash, of course. We do not accept AmEx, personal checks or travelers checks. We are a small business and one of the most expensive overhead items for us is credit card fees. Any time you can use cash instead of a credit/debit card, you are helping us to continue to keep our prices low. And you may always use your store credit for any items, of course!
REMINDER
- Please note that Kidstock does not accept clothing drop offs during July and August.
- We use this time to better organize our existing inventory. The only exceptions to this are boys sizes 3, 4 and 5, girls size 3, small furniture, and toys.
