Happy June! This month finds us celebrating Father's Day, the end of the formal school year, and the beginning of summer. At Kidstock we are ready for your summer celebrations! Come in and choose party dresses, wedding suits, or just hanging around shorts, tanks, and bathing suits. And, of course, because West Los Angeles evenings can be chilly, we still have long sleeve and light sweater options on our racks.

Outside the Box at Kidstock!

* Customer Evelyn came in and bought 10 dresses for her daugher's "Project Runway" birthday party! The seven year old girls were each going to be able to choose an outfit and strut it down the runway. Party favors were, of course, getting to take home one of the outfits they modeled. Clever mom, huh?
* Customer Joan came in to purchase several outfits for a commercial shoot her daughter was scheduled for. The commercial aired, of course!

POP ART
(messy, messy, messy!)
Spread a large sheet of craft paper on the ground. Measure one tablespoon of baking soda into the center of a square of toilet paper, fold it into a bundle, and tuck it into one corner of a sandwich-size zip-top bag. Help your child mix one-third cup of white vinegar with one tablespoon of tempera paint; pour into the opposite corner of the bag. Seal quickly, leaving a little air in the bag, and shake slightly to mix. Set it on the paper, then stand back. The bag will quickly puff up like a pillow, then pop, leaving an inkblot-style masterpiece.
Hence, the "pop" art. And it's perfect for Father's Day -- get it? Pop? Dad? And who doesn't love exploding art?!? Happy Father's Day to all our Kidstock Dads and Grandads!
