Kidstock's Big News!
Think you can do Kidstock better than we can? We KNOW you can! Kidstock is officially for sale and we are ready for the right person/people to come into our lives and take it to the next level. We've loved building this business, but it's time for us to find other challenges.
If you've always wanted your own business and think you could push this one to greater heights, we want to talk to you.
If you are a current customer, please know that we take seriously our responsibility as owners -- we have no intention of shutting the doors without notice. Our goal is to transition the store by this summer. We will keep you posted about this news as we move forward.

Reminders
* We are accepting bags at this time -- don't worry about whether the clothing is seasonally appropriate or not. Please do worry, however, about the clothing being clean, not ripped or stained, and games and toys being complete and working. If you would not buy it in its current condition, neither will we.
Please do not overstuff your bags! Overstuffed bags often tear, and clothing can get dirty, stained, or lost. Bags with carefully folded clothing get more store credit than overstuffed bags with carelessly treated items.
* Our Dollar Rack in the back is...well, back! Check just outside the door for items on their way out of our store. Great for costumes, crafting, painting, camping, preschool, etc. The rack sometimes includes random women/maternity clothing items that we still have in storage as well, so you never know what you will find.
* Patootie Cakes are available in the store. You can grab and go with these already wrapped diaper cakes -- perfect for a new baby hospital visit or as a shower gift. These come from an outside vendor, so store credit may not be used for your purchase. To view a picture, go to www.patootiecakes.com. You can specialty order from the site and pick up at Kidstock to avoid shipping and handling charges.

Every Day is Earth Day at Kidstock
One of the most remarkable celebrations each year happens in April. This month includes the celebration of Earth Day, and the Earth Day mandate tracks many of the guiding principles of what we hope to accomplish every day at Kidstock.
We agree it's great to save money and purchase gently used, pre-owned clothing for a fraction of what you'd pay new -- clearly savvy parents are in tune with this idea. But what about the fact that every time you choose recycled clothing over new, you are engaging in recycling and waste reduction? What does it say about your family when you choose to
re-purpose or reuse, rather than waste both materials and money? What lessons do you teach your children when you show them that just because it costs more, does not mean that it IS more, or better?
And it's not just about the re-purposing of gently used kid items. What about the two-thirds of our customers who either bring their own bag or choose the no-bag option? What an amazing lesson in choices for your children!
So on this Earth Day 2016, Kidstock salutes our fabulous customers who not only talk the talk about small steps that save the world, but also walk the walk by including Kidstock in their everyday Act of Green efforts. |

Materials:
your home junk drawer or bottom of a toy box
cardboard
glue
Directions:
Empty your junk drawer and/or the bottom of your toy chest. What do you see? Can you count the items? Can you divide them into color categories?
Pick some to glue on the cardboard in a pretty design. You've now turned junk into art! Happy Earth Day!
