March 2011

Greetings!

Happy March, everyone!  Spring will spring right around the corner, and we can't wait!  Of course, we have pretty much been enjoying every month here at Kidstock, so our first March is something to look forward to.

Be sure to check out our March coupons.  We still have jackets around, of course (try finding THOSE at a store that must follow the "laws of retail"!

Our ever changing rack-in-the-back has spent most of February with women's and maternity wear.  What does March hold for our intrepid rack?  Costumes, of course!  Purim is celebrated this month.  For those of you who look forward to St. Patrick's Day, be sure to see our Green Coupon below.

The month of March also brings with it Dr. Seuss's birthday and -- drumroll, please! -- National Quilting Day!  We know that you and your kids look forward to this one all year long.  See below for related coupons so that your Quilting Day can be celebrated in style!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Reminders!

*  Did you know that you can combine our newsletter coupons?  That's right!  Get great deals during March by using our verbal codes and shopping often.  There is no limit on how many times you can use coupons or combine them.

*  We are, of course, accepting bags.  We are pretty picky about what we take, however.  Please, no stained clothing!  We are partial to full outfits and designer/boutique labels.  Items wanted:  If you are done with skiing and snow trips this year, please bring us your outgrown snow clothing and boots.  We always need them!

*  Our turn-around time for going through bags averages two days.  If you have chosen the option of having your items returned to you (if not accepted) then we ask that you return to pick them up within a week.  We have very little storage space and when bags are not picked up in a timely fashion, we have less room to accept bags from other customers.

*  In an homage to Dr. Seuss, we have renamed our former Dollar Rack.  It will officially be known now as "The Rack in the Back."  Each month we will highlight a different clothing category.  The rack will be changed out sometime during the first week of the month.  February's Rack in the Back was filled with women's and maternity wear.  March brings us costumes!  And next month . . . who knows?!?

*  Kidstock return policy:  Did you know that you can return your purchase if you are not happy with it?  Yep, it's true!  Returns must be within 1 week, items must still have the tags attached, and you need to present the receipt.   We totally get that shopping with your kids is not always the easiest way to go.  Sometimes it is easier to come in twice than shop with them once!

*  This month we are honored to help support the fundraising efforts of University Parents Nursery School and First Presbyterian Nursery School.  Thanks for allowing Kidstock to be a part of your event!

Quilting Day Coupon

There may be only one day a year that celebrates the art of quilting, but here at Kidstock we intend to celebrate it all month long!  Here's our quilting deal:  Purchase one baby blanket and get the second one for only 1 cent.  That's practically a two-fer!  And for those of you who don't technically have "babies" anymore, you can use our blankies for all kinds of things:  park picnics (which is fun in spring!), doggie bedding, doll/pretend play, and fort making.   Happy National Quilting Day!

Get your deal by using the verbal code "Quilt Coupon"!

The Green Team!
So last month, in honor of the holiday of love, we tried out a red coupon.  This month, in honor of St. Pat's Day, we give you the green coupon!  Any green item is eligible for a discount of 20% at checkout!

Use verbal code "Green Coupon" to get your deal.

cat in the hat bookPaging Dr. Suess!

Who doesn't love to have lots of good fun that is funny with the Cat in the Hat?  This month, in honor of Dr. Theodor Geisel, we give you a coupon for -- what else?!? -- striped items!  Get 10% off any item in the store with stripes.

Use verbal code "Cat in the Hat" to get your deal.
When new customers come into the store we often ask them how they found us.  Our favorite answer is, as our new customer is paying for a purchase,  "Another mom (or dad!) told me about you."  Thank you so, so much for all your great word of mouth and your support of Kidstock!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Melna, Leslie, and Tony

1 ½ Tbsp cooking oil

1 c boiling water

Mix flour, salt, oil and Kool-Aid. Add boiling water; stir and knead until cooled and smooth. Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. This playdough will be the color and scent of the Kool-Aid you used.

Probably best not to eat this, so keep an eye out!
