| | Greetings! Happy February, everyone! Kidstock is ready to go with jackets AND shorts, because apparently the weather can't make up its mind. Our shelves are filled and our racks are full -- come shopping soon! | The Rack in Back is . . . Back
We are bringing our dollar rack back. You asked, and here it is! The rack will be just outside the back door and will be loaded up on Monday morning. Whatever is left on Saturday afternoon will be packed up and sent off to our wonderful donation site. We will do our best to have a mix of sizes, including women's and maternity, on our "Back Rack." Some items are not perfect (missing a button, dot of paint), some have just been hanging out with us too long (gotta make room for new stuff!), but most have lots of life left and no imperfections. It's great for crafting, disposable clothing (traveling or camp) or for preschool (read: painting all day!) wear. Almost every item is priced at $1, but there will be a few special things that are well priced to leave us quickly. Just one more addition to our roster of great deals and fun clothing! |
Reminders * We are accepting bags with clothing, toys, and small furniture items. Items do not need to be seasonal. You may drop off at any time, although we do ask that you limit yourself to 1-2 (non-ripped, not too heavy) bags at a time. Please remember that we do not accept stained or torn items. Games/puzzles must be complete. **Heads up notice: we will not be accepting drop-offs this year during July and August. Plan ahead!
* We can no longer use your store credit as payment towards the sales tax portion of your purchase. We are required to collect that portion of the sale in actual cash.
* Kidstock will be open on President's Day, Monday, February 17.
* We very much appreciate when you bring your own bag or choose not to use one. We have some available if you need it, of course, but we are very impressed with the nearly three quarters of our clients who choose the "no bag" option for their purchases. Go Earth!
* Don't forget to check out Patootie Cakes for a unique and fun shower centerpiece or new parent gift. Visit www.patootiecakes.com, order, and get free S/H when you pick up at Kidstock. Additional discounts are offered if you pay in cash.
* Kidstock will not be at the Motor/National Farmer's Market through the winter and spring, but we hope to make another appearance during the summer/fall. Please visit the market to see all the fun kid activities available every Sunday (9am to 2pm), from art to bunnies and ponies to trains. This market is a great one to bring kids to as it is small and always has fun kid stuff to do without long lines. |

| | | Messy February Project Scavenger Hunt
As many of you know, we at Kidstock love projects when the end result is good enough to eat. Here is our February offering, but this is fun any time of year.
Supplies: Hershey's Kisses, foil wrapped chocolate hearts, or any largish wrapped candy -- OR -- large beads --OR -- silly love notes on small pieces of folded pretty paper -- OR -- small stuffed animals
Make sure you count your items so you collect what you hide. (Nothing is worse than finding a melted Kiss under the couch cushions in August!) Choose ONE room in your house and hide 10-20 items, some easy and some hard. Let the kid/s loose to find the items. Be prepared for the kid/s to want to then hide the items for you to find. | | | | |
