Happy February! In this month of Valentine's Day we are supposed to celebrate love on a designated day, but those of us with kids, grandkids, nephews, nieces, and godchildren know that love happens all day, every day, in many different little and big ways. So celebrate the love every day, and come shopping soon! |

Reminders
* We are accepting bags at this time. It is not necessary to make an appointment. When bringing in a bag, remember that we don't accept stained or ripped items. Please note that we will not be accepting clothing during July and August (we will still be taking toys and small furniture.)
* We still have tons of jackets in the store. We know it's hard to shop for winter wear when it's 70 degrees outside, but we hear tell that some cold fronts will be coming our way in March. Please see the coupon below to help get you started on your jacket shopping.
* Near the back entrance we have a "Battery Bucket." Please use it for your dead batteries, rather than throwing them in the trash. They will be e-cycled.
* Kidstock will be open regular hours on President's Day, Monday, February 20. |

Costumes and Bathing Suits
It may be the dead of winter per the calendar, but at Kidstock we are still doing a brisk business in bathing suits. Apparently quite a few of you are still swimming in February! In that same vein, we notice that our customers do not save costumes just for Halloween anymore. We are thrilled that "imagination stations" are standard home play for most of our Kidstock kids. The 20-Minute-I-Need-To-Get-Dinner-Ready-So-You-Will-Please-Entertain-Yourself Messy Craft
This one is an oldy but a goody. You probably have all materials already on hand. Materials: String Cereal with holes -- Cheerios or Fruit Loops or their generic equivalents
In case it's not self-explanatory, have your child string cereal on the string. You will have to do the first one so that cereal does not fall off the opposite end. You may want to use a dry pasta at the end and tie the string to it as a stopper.
That's it. If your kids are being reasonable and are willing to wait, use sugar cereal and tell them that they can have their "necklace" for dessert! If you have hungry, cranky kids, then tell them YOU will be eating their creation for dessert ;-)! Kidding . . . but most likely they are cranky-hungry, so use Cheerios instead and let them nibble on their creation as an hors d'oeuvres. And if you really don't want them to eat while you are getting dinner ready, then you can do this with dry pasta or large-size beads. |
