Greetings!
Happy December everyone! It's the end of the year and vacation time and --
hypothetically -- cold time. We've got jackets of all shapes and weights...and shorts and t-shirts to go under them. We hope that you are enjoying family time. We know that we are going to do that this month!
As a matter of fact, as you read this, the collective Mrs. Kidstocks are in Hawaii with extended family. Store hours this first week in December are varied, so PLEASE call before you come in. We will be open Monday 12/1, Friday 12/5, and Saturday 12/6, with sporadic hours Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please forgive our "gone fishin'" closure! We will also have some closed days between Christmas and New Year's, which will be posted on our front door and our outgoing telephone message later in the month.

...for a few days this first week in December! (Did we shock you? Just want to make sure you are paying attention!) Please see the greeting block above this and remember to call before you come in to make sure we are open.

Reminders
* Drop-offs -- Please limit yourself to two market bags or one trash bag. Please weed out stained and ripped items so we have more time to get to everyone's items. And overstuffing bags or dropping off ripped trash bags makes it difficult for all of us, so please pack your bags appropriately.
* Please remember Kidstock AFTER your holiday celebrations. We always welcome
drop offs of gift bags that we re-purpose into shopping bags.
* Kidstock's $1 Rack in the Back is going strong-- For fun bargains, crafting items, and clothes that can be used as is or repurposed, our Rack in the Back is an ever-changing sale stop. Check it out next time you stop in!
* Patootie Cakes are still available in the store. Don't forget that you can grab and go with these already wrapped diaper cakes -- perfect for a new baby hospital visit or as a shower gift or shower table centerpiece. These come from an outside vendor, so store credit may not be used for your purchase. If you place an order on the Patootie Cakes website, www.patootiecakes.com, you may pick up in the store during the week, saving shipping/handling fees.

Messy Art Project:
Kiss Me Memory Game
Materials needed:
* a giant bag of Hershey's Kiss candy
* round stickers, colored or not
* Sharpie
Make pairs of numbers or letters on stickers and then attach to the bottom of the Kisses. Play the Memory game. For younger kids, it's a great way to learn letters -- you can match upper and lower or all of one or any manner of whatever you need to reinforce. For non-readers, choose colored dots and match colors, or you can use stickers or shapes. But the game isn't over till all the kisses are eaten!
