Kidstock

December 2010

Greetings!
By the time you read this, the holiday season will be well underway.  So happy whatever-you-are-celebrating!

At Kidstock, we are celebrating life.  We hope that this year was a successful one for you in terms of family, health and happiness.  We know that opening Kidstock in July was one of the most fun things we have ever done as a family and we are so glad to be here to share it with all of you.

Happy Christmas-Hanukah-Kwanza-New Years-etc. to our Kidstock clients -- come shopping soon!
Reminders!

*  Holiday Schedule:  We will be closing early on Friday, December 24th and will not be open on Saturday, December 25th.  As well, we will be closing early on Friday, December 31 and will not be open on Saturday, January 1, 2011.  Please note that our regular hours all other days are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

*  We are accepting bags.  Please make sure that the contents are clean.  If you wouldn't buy it, we probably won't either!

*  In an effort to save paper and ink, you no longer need to print out Kidstock coupons to use them.  Each coupon has a verbal code.  Just mention the code at the time of purchase and we will apply your discounts.

*  Did you know that Kidstock has a Facebook page?  Become our "friend" or "like" us on "kidstock" for other wacky weekly deals.   If you have trouble finding our FB page, you can access it through our website at www.kidstockla.com and click on the link.

*  Previous editions of our newsletter are archived at www.kidstockla.com.  September's newsletter had a very detailed description of how clothing, toys, books, etc., are accepted at Kidstock.

*  We want to give a public thanks to our new Kidstock neighbor, Chris, at Menza Computers.  We are pretty sure this will embarrass him, so we hope he doesn't get our emails, but every morning Chris comes out front and blows all the leaves off the sidewalk on Pico for our little section of stores.  He has never asked for thanks and seems embarrassed when we express appreciation, but as the year comes to a close we want to pay homage to all the folks out there who do quiet, neighborly things that often go unappreciated.   Thank you, Chris!

Refer a Friend!

So many ways to save in December!  Make sure you take advantage of this one:

Refer a friend to Kidstock.  When your friend makes a purchase, make sure that he/she tells us who referred her, and we will give the
"refer-ee" $5 Kidstock store credit!  It's that easy.  Plus, if you share the coupon codes below with your friend, he/she can save on his/her own purchase too.  And when you come shopping, you can combine your referral credit with the coupons below for some pretty amazing savings!

Holiday Bargain Hint

Does your kid like Legos?  Ours too!  But man, are they expensive in set form!  Did you know you can buy Legos by the pound?  If your kids are like ours, then you know that free form building is the best!  There are many venues, but we have ordered Legos by the pound through Amazon.  It is about $6-ish per half pound.  You can get 2 pounds for the price of one retail set!  When we get Legos at Kidstock, they go fast -- usually before we can even get them on the shelf!  So if you are looking for them, this is a great way to get 'em at a bargain price.
